i think this may be the 1st post, so if theres anyone out there who wants to chat & discuss stuff about one of the grea-*test*-('") bands ever then get yourself regestered and lets go

because they're classics! they are a bit steep in price though. i had a quick look and found vinyl copies of 'compilation'-£30. 'fathoms'-£11 & 'western sky'&'higher ep' both for- £19. it does seem a case of the quality & scarcity+ the fact that theyre between 15-20 yrs old having the effect of them not being cheap. also,i dont know but they may be listed in the record sellers book & are being priced accordingly !

yes, fathoms phase at the boardwalk in mcr in the late 80's. &, hopefully they'll do a gig somewhere & we'll be the 1st to know.....

no-one who ever played in the chams ever played with bfg, or was involved with them musically, as far as i know !!!!! :wink:

Well Actually
Bit of useless infromation but, BFG and the Chameleons do have a few crossing paths. 1) Mike rehearsed with the Chameleons as stand in for John Lever when he was having a few problems with his health, however John returned to the band sooner that anyone thought. SO Mike never actually played Live for them. Andy Clegg the Chameleons keyboard player did play guitar with BFG at some of their early gigs. Andy also was in a band with Andy Whittaker ( who stood in for BJ Williams at a BFG gig supporting New Order. When the Chameleons did split up they both joined Mark Burgess in the SUN AND THE MOON.

ah! the chameleons... its all over for our local heros. but i heard on the internal grapevine that gary lavery is remixing some of the chameleons tracks, & reg laying some guitar on top....

they have.. mark lives in germany. he got mugged in middleton & had his folder with all his stuff from 'the cliques'(his 1st band) nicked. daves in lincoln. its over. BFG all the way as ever... ps- admin , can we have a lyrics section so i/we know all the words to every song when i have a sing along ? cheers!!!
